Wedding Venue in Illinois: A Crimson Winter Wedding at The Haight

Olivia and Colin were looking for a wedding venue in Illinois that would be perfect for their crimson winter wedding. They were looking for a loft-style venue with in house event coordination and enhancements such as decor so The Haight was the venue that fit all their needs. From the mismatched crimson bridesmaids dresses to the touches of greenery and gold at the reception, it was such a beautiful day!

Couple’s Portraits at The Haight

Olivia and Colin both got ready in our bridal suites. Olivia wore a form fitting lace dress with a high neckline and see through back. We loved seeing how she used the suite for her bridal portraits. They turned out so romantic and gorgeous! Colin and Olivia did their first look upstairs then did their couple’s portraits around the venue. Cozy Winter Wedding Ceremony

For their ceremony, Olivia and Colin chose to use our ivory chiffon and green velvet curtain paired with our hexagon arch. The arch had beautiful floral arrangements on it with flowers in shades of crimson, peach, and white with winter greenery woven throughout. We also liked how they hung greenery in front of the curtains to add a nice winter touch. The couple also used our candles and lanterns to line the aisle and in front of the arch to create a cozy feel. Olivia walked down the aisle with her dad and we loved seeing Colin tear up. The bridesmaids wore long mismatched dresses in shades of crimson that looked stunning against the brick and wood walls. Colin wore a classic dark navy suit while the groomsmen wore gray suits with ties in various shades of crimson. The couple exchanged vows and concluded the ceremony with a dip and a kiss. Then it was time to celebrate!

For the reception, Olivia and Colin used our round tables and our farm tables. They chose crimson tablecloths for the round tables and decorated the tables with our lanterns and rose gold votives. They added greenery to create a classic winter look. We loved how they hung greenery and twinkle lights behind the sweetheart table! Dancing the Night Away

The couple did their big entrance where Olivia wore the cutest white heart sunglasses. For their cake cutting, they chose tiramisu since that’s one of their favorite desserts. After that, the toasts were given and dinner was enjoyed. Then it was time to dance! Olivia and Colin had such a fun first dance then danced with dad and mom respectively. Once the dances were done, they snuck away for a sparkler exit. After that, they came back and enjoyed tearing up the dance floor with their guests.
