We LOVE a winter wedding around here and we think The Haight is the perfect venue for a winter wedding. We recently hosted a December wedding that turned out so beautiful! Katie and Jeff wanted to have a winter wedding so that they could embrace the winter color scheme and hopefully have a little bit of snow for their pictures. Luckily, we got a nice light dusting, so they were able to get great some pictures in the snow!

First Look at Winter Wedding Venue

Katie and Jeff got ready with their wedding party in our suites where they enjoyed hanging out and even playing some Nintendo. After everyone was ready, Katie and Jeff did their first look at our front entrance. We loved how photographer Jill Tinogco captured the moment and the details of our front doors. As a winter wedding venue, we love decorating for the holidays, so our front doors had garland and red and gold bows around them to celebrate the season.

Wedding Photos in the Snow

Once they were done with their couple’s portraits, Katie and Jeff took photos with their bridal party. Katie’s bridesmaids wore dresses in various shades of pale blue, pink, and gray which looked so gorgeous in the snow. Jeff and the groomsmen wore dark blue suits with pale blue ties which paired perfectly with the bridesmaid’s looks. While they were taking photos, it started snowing, so it was truly the perfect winter wedding moment!

Winter Wedding Ceremony

For their ceremony at our winter wedding venue, Katie and Jeff chose details that made it feel so cozy. They chose our canvas curtain backdrop with our hexagon arch for their ceremony. The arch was adorned with roses in various shades of white and pink along with plenty of greenery to give it a wintery feel. They lined the aisle with candles in hurricane vases which made the space feel very intimate. Katie and Jeff exchanged beautiful personal vows, then it was time for cocktail hour!

Cozy Winter Vibes at Reception

Katie and Jeff loved having their wedding in the winter as they were able to take advantage of our non-peak season prices. Plus it was cheaper for their guests to travel as well, so they were able to have all of their closest family and friends join them to celebrate.

At the reception, they chose white table cloths with greenery and white candles as their centerpieces. They also chose white signage with black writing for their seating chart, place cards, and table numbers. These touches created a classic winter wedding look, especially under the twinkle lights.

Guests were welcomed in to the reception space after cocktail hour, then the introductions and toasts were done. After that, the dinner buffet opened and it was time to dance! The couple had a great time with their guests and were so happy how their wedding day turned out at our winter wedding venue.

If you’re looking for a venue to host your winter wedding, The Haight is the perfect place! With both indoor and outdoor areas, you’ll be able to enjoy the snow outside and keep your guests warm inside. Reach out so we can help you plan the winter wedding of your dreams!
