When Monica and Stephanie were looking for wedding venues in Chicago, they came across The Haight and decided it was the perfect venue to celebrate their love. They were looking for an industrial venue that had space for getting ready, a separate ceremony and reception space, and several spots for photos. Luckily, The Haight fit all those criteria. The couple had a ton of personal details that made the day so special and we are so glad we got to be a part of it!

First Look on Rooftop Deck

Monica and Stephanie both got ready in our private suites prior to the first look. We loved how the dresses the brides wore complimented each other perfectly. After the finishing touches were done, the couple had their first look on our rooftop deck. It was so sweet seeing the emotion of the day play out as they saw each other for the first time.

Sweet Moments with Dogs

Monica and Stephanie also did couple’s portraits and wedding party portraits prior to the ceremony at several locations around the venue. Since The Haight is located close to the Fox River, it’s easy to walk (or ride) to the river to go take pictures. They also took a few moments to enjoy some time with their dogs prior to the ceremony. How cute are they?! When Stephanie and Monica were looking for wedding venues in Chicago, they wanted a place that would allow dogs to attend. We love dogs and know they are an important part of your family, so we love when couples include them on they special day!

Rainbow Flag Ceremony Exit

For the ceremony, both Monica and Stephanie walked down the aisle with their family members. We loved seeing their wedding party standing next to them in light pink and green dresses. The colors worked perfectly with the space! We also loved that their dogs got to be a part of the ceremony. The couple exchanged meaningful vows and then decided to seal their love with a unity shot. As you can tell by the look on their faces, it was a pretty stiff shot! After they exchanged their first kiss as a married couple, they exited the ceremony while their guests waved Rainbow Flags. We loved that it showed support for the couple and guests got to keep them as a favor!

Wedding Venue in Chicago with Separate Spaces

When Monica and Stephanie were looking for wedding venues in Chicago, they liked the idea of having a separate ceremony and reception space. That meant there was less downtime between the two events so that guests could join the reception earlier. While guests enjoyed cocktail hour, the couple took family photos, then joined their guests for some cocktails. After that, it was time to get the party started! Monica and Stephanie entered the reception to loud cheers, then cut their wedding cake. Next was dinner and speeches followed by first dances. There were so many smiles as the couple danced together for the first time!

Fun Reception Dance Floor

In order to get good photos, the couple did a faux sparkler send off before they opened the dance floor. We loved this idea since everyone was still fresh because they hadn’t hit the dance floor yet. After the send off, it was time to dance! One of our favorite details was the LED party bot that the couple hired as a surprise for the guests. The light up bot along with the dance floor props made this a reception we won’t soon forget!

We had so much fun getting to be a part of Monica and Stephanie’s wedding! Their love for each other is so apparent and we couldn’t be happier for them. If you’re looking for wedding venues in Chicago, let’s talk so we can help make your dreams come true!
