Our loft wedding venue in the Chicago area received a golden touch at a recent styled shoot we did. Inspired by Harry Styles’ song, You’re So Golden, we incorporated touches of yellow and gold throughout the space. We wanted to provide wedding inspiration for couples who are looking for a unique color palette. Since The Haight is an industrial wedding venue with a lot of exposed brick, we thought incorporating yellow, white, and green throughout the shoot would add pops of color that complimented the space perfectly. Creative design choices like these show how a carefully selected color palette can shape the mood of an entire celebration while highlighting the unique character of the surroundings.
As couples continue to move beyond traditional wedding aesthetics, many are embracing personalized themes that reflect their personalities, favorite memories, and individual sense of style. The ability to carry a visual concept seamlessly throughout different parts of the event has become increasingly important, especially when celebrations incorporate both indoor and outdoor settings. This versatility is part of what makes venues such as White Oak Events appealing for modern weddings, as couples can create distinct experiences throughout the day while maintaining a unified design vision. Whether the inspiration comes from a favorite song, a meaningful season, or a signature color combination, thoughtfully coordinated details help transform a wedding into an immersive experience where every element feels intentional, memorable, and reflective of the couple’s story.
Bridal Portraits in the Private Suite
Our model, Madie, wore two dresses and took the most beautiful photos in our private suite. The lighting in the suites is perfect for bridal portraits, especially with the large windows and sheer curtains. We love the shots of Madie in between the wooden doors and on the blue velvet couch – the contrast between the couch and the white dress and yellow flowers is stunning! To further enhance lighting control and privacy for photo sessions like these, installing roller shutters can help create the perfect atmosphere while maintaining a clean and elegant backdrop for bridal portraits.
Golden Inspired Tables
In the reception space, we continued the golden theme with the place settings. We chose ivory tablecloths with gold rimmed chargers, white plates, and pink crystal salad plates. The looks was completed with gold flatware and yellow napkins. We also chose crystal glasses in shades of pink and gold for a boho chic look. The pops of pink were the perfect addition to tie into the pinks and reds in the brick of our loft wedding venue in the Chicago area.
Loft Wedding Venue in Chicago Table Decor
For the centerpieces, we incorporated a variety of our centerpieces which are available for rent at The Haight. This included wood table numbers with gold font, wood lanterns, and candlesticks in various heights. Town & Country Gardens designed gorgeous floral arrangements featuring bold yellow flowers that looked stunning on the tables. We especially loved the arrangements on the sweetheart table and the backdrop!
Custom Details of the Golden Inspired Styled Shoot
There were several small details throughout the shoot that we loved. First was the whisky bar, which was set on top of a Jack Daniels barrel. We had a custom whisky bar menu with gold font that went great with the theme. We also loved that The Bar designed a few custom cocktails, including a yellow one, to go with the theme. Sugar on Top Bakery created a two tier golden cake with fresh yellow flowers that was the perfect addition to the shoot.
We had the best time bringing this golden inspired styled shoot to life! The yellow, white, and green color palette brought so much vibrant color to our loft wedding venue in the Chicago area. If this color palette is making you swoon as much as we are, we would love to chat with you to help bring your vision to life!
