If you’re looking for fall wedding inspiration, Taylor and Trace’s burnt orange wedding is one you have to see! The couple embraced the warm color palette for their October wedding and we loved seeing their vision brought to life at The Haight. With unique details incorporated throughout the day, Taylor and Trace’s wedding was truly one of a kind!

Getting Ready in Style

The day began at The Haight as Taylor and her bridesmaids prepped for the day in our suite. After a quick dance party with her bridesmaids, Taylor put on her beautiful form fitting halter dress with a slim cutout on the bodice and an open back. Her bridesmaids wore various styles of burnt orange dresses which were perfect for the fall wedding. Taylor had an emotional first look with her dad on the deck of The Haight then it was time to head to the church for the ceremony.

An Autumnal Affair

At the church, Taylor did a sweet first look with her grandparents. You can tell how proud they are of her by the look of love in their eyes! After that, she did a quick first touch with Trace who looked sharp in his Air Force dress mess.

The couple had a traditional Catholic ceremony at St. John Neumann Church. They exchanged personal vows and rings, then sealed their love with a kiss. As the couple exited the church, they had a traditional Air Force saber arch that was done by Trace’s Air Force friends. The couple snapped some photos with their family at the church then headed to downtown Elgin for photos with their bridal party.

A Reception Full of Fall Touches

Back at The Haight for their fall wedding reception, burnt orange continued to weave its way through every detail. The venue’s rustic allure provided the perfect canvas for this autumnal celebration. The couple chose white dinnerware with burnt orange napkins for their place settings. The long farmhouse tables had greenery intertwined down the middle along with a mix of amber glass jugs with baby’s breath, taper candles, and pillar candles on tall gold candle holders. The couple also had hanging floral arrangements above the tables that were full of orange, white, and cream flowers and greenery. We loved seeing how all of the details came together to create a warm and inviting atmosphere.

Playful Wedding Party Entrances

This fall wedding was not just about vows and rings; it was about celebrating the unique love story of Taylor and Trace. To highlight how fun the couple is, they invited the wedding party to make unique entrances. Some of the highlights were a dancing entrance, an entrance with electric guitars, and the maid of honor and best man wearing their football jerseys while equipped with a money gun.

Personal Touches

After dinner, toasts, and cake cutting, it was time for the couple’s first dance. At that moment, Trace took off his jacket and revealed his custom shirt underneath, complete with sleeves that had the University of Alabama’s logo on them. Taylor and Trace had a sweet first dance then it was time for Taylor and her dad to dance. The dance started off as a slow dance but then transitioned to a fun choreographed number. After Trace danced with his mom, the dance floor opened to everyone and they danced the night away.

Taylor and Trace’s wedding was a breathtaking blend of history, personal touches, and the enchantment of fall. The Haight provided the ideal canvas for their love to shine against a backdrop that resonated with their story.
