This beautiful and classic early summer wedding was perfect for Carolyn and Alex. When looking for wedding venues in Illinois, Carolyn and Alex found The Haight and realized it was the perfect venue for an outdoor wedding. They wanted a venue that had outdoor ceremony space as well as an indoor reception space and The Haight fit their needs perfectly!

Getting Ready in the Bridal Suite

Carolyn’s day began in our bridal suite, surrounded by her bridesmaids! She looked absolutely stunning with added gems in her hair which was a fun touch we loved! After getting ready she had a first look with her bridesmaids, and dad! We thought it was a sweet touch she chose to do a first look with her dad before the ceremony! Carolyn and Alex opted for a first touch, so that they could talk before the ceremony without seeing each other.

Wedding Party Photos on the Outdoor Deck

Before the ceremony Carolyn and her bridesmaids graced our outdoor deck for photos. Carolyn carried a beautiful bouquet filled with white roses that were perfectly classic. The bridesmaids wore stunning black gowns which created an overall coordinated look throughout the day.

Outdoor Wedding Ceremony in Illinois

As an outdoor wedding venue in Illinois, we offer an outdoor ceremony space which Carolyn and Alex opted to use for their wedding ceremony. The outdoor space was the perfect dark and wood backdrop for their classic and stunning added floral decor. Once the vows were said and the rings exchanged, they sealed their love with a kiss and walked back down the aisle as husband and wife!

Golden Hour Portraits

Following the ceremony, cocktail hour began while Carolyn and Alex took a peek at their reception space and then used the outdoor deck for more photos! The couple took advantage of the early summer weather when taking lots of pictures outside! We might be biased but we think Illinois is a great place for an early summer wedding! Guests took advantage of the food, and the signage inside for photos! Taking advantage of the sunlight, Carolyn and Alex spent the time with family and friends taking pictures. They also ventured inside for some more couple shots that turned out absolutely stunning! As well as a final walk around outside to take some gorgeous just married pictures!

Simple Reception Decor

For the reception, the couple chose simplicity to let the Haight’s character shine through. Greenery and lights were the main decor throughout. The lighting throughout provided a stunning fairytale and warm effect in the photos.

Finishing the Night

After hearing the beautiful (and hilarious) speeches. The couple spent the night greeting guests, dancing, and enjoying their day! They used a photo booth that gave guests an added opportunity for pictures and memories. Although, the photo booth was a favorite the majority of guests spent their night dancing the night away. Once they had done a decent amount of dancing, Carolyn took some time to throw the bouquet!

The Haight was the perfect location for Carolyn and Alex’s early summer Illinois wedding and we loved having them!
